RI Rockets Welcome CCRI Softball
To Woodlake Park
The Rhode Island Rockets along with Johnston Girls Softball are excited to welcome Coach Paul Mercier and the CCRI Lady Knights Softball team to Woodlake Park in Johnston, Rhode Island.
Beginning in the Fall of 2023, the CCRI Lady Knights will be right in the new home with the aforementioned RI Rockets.
This will prove to be a huge opportunity for our players to stand shoulder to shoulder with a college program and open up opportunities for the girls to play softball at the next level.
Welcome Coach Paul and the CCRI Lady Knights!
Former Players, Now Coaches
After playing a combined 14 years of softball for the RI Rockets organization, Tori & Falyn became the first two players to complete the eligibility and age out of our program.
They are 2 of the first ever Captains in the history of our program and the first 2 Rockets players to move on to play college softball as teammates on the CCRI Lady Knights Softball team, who have both been selected as Captains of their college team as well.
This year they take on a new challenge as the continue with the RI Rockets as the new coaches for our 16U RI Rockets team.
We could not have been prouder of the legacy the girls have left behind as players and now as they make their mark as coaches as well.
Best of luck to Coach Tori & Coach Falyn in their rookie coaching season!!!!!
Congratulations Julia Raymond
On Thursday, January 11th, our 18U Rockets Blue Pitcher and Team Captain Julia Raymond was honored by the Athletic Director and Principal at Woonsocket High School.
Julia's family, friends, Coach, and fellow Captain & Teammate all shared in the excitement as Julia signed her official commitment and letter of intent to continue both her education and her softball atheltic career as a member of the Eastern Connecticut State Warriors.
Julia has excelled in the classroom as well as on the volleyball court, as a Captain of her volleyball team, training & working hard with her track & field team, and of course with her unmatched work ethic with her school and our Rhode Island Rockets softball teams.
She came to the Rockets on coach's birthday, March 27, 2022, and has never looked back. She had an immediate influence on our team and organization.
After battling some adversity to get back on the softball field after the Summer of 2021, Julia has roared back with the help of her teammates to earn 37 Wins pitching and accumulate 338 strikeouts over that past 2 full seasons.
Congratulations Julia!
We cant wait to see what lies ahead
