Rhode Island Rockets Tryouts Are Here! 

 

The Rhode Island Rockets are excited to announce tryout dates for our 2026-2027 season!

We are currently seeking dedicated athletes for our 14U, 16U, and 18U teams as we continue to build on the success of our organization.

 

Tryout Dates

• Tuesday, July 21, 2026 — 6:30 PM

• Wednesday, July 22, 2026 — 6:30 PM

• Thursday, July 23, 2026 — 6:30 PM

Woodlake Park

Johnston, Rhode Island

Unable to attend one of the scheduled dates? Private tryouts are available upon request.

The 2025/26 season will mark the 10th Anniversary Season for the Rhode Island Rockets organization.

 

The past 10 years have shown growth and accomplishments throughout the organization:

 

- College Coaches and Players heading our already competitive teams

- Many players that have moved on to college level softball at several colleges and universities 

- Roster opportunities for both returning and newloy welcomed players 

- New age groups available for more player 

- New class of graduates commiting to college for both academics and athletics

- RI Rockets Wall Of Fame Inductees 

 

With so much success while moving full speed into season #10,  there are no signs of slowing down.

Congratulations to Rhode Island Rockets teammates Cora & Lucia on putting an exclamation point on two outstanding high school softball careers!

Both players played key roles for their respective teams in the RIIL Division II State Championship, combining to go 4-for-6 at the plate with 4 runs scored, 2 walks, and outstanding defense by both players.

What an incredible championship battle from start to finish, right down to the final pitch.

We couldn’t be prouder of the way both girls represented themselves, their schools, and the Rhode Island Rockets organization. Their success on the field was matched only by the sportsmanship, class, and respect they showed at the conclusion of the game.

Congratulations, Cora and Lucia. We are proud of everything you’ve accomplished.
